The Aerial Lifts curriculum addresses safety requirements when working with aerial lifts. It covers different types of aerial lifts, how they work and what tasks can be done with each type. It includes recognition of hazards that may be encountered on site when using an aerial lift and inspections of the machines and of the site that are required before using the lifts.
There is a practical portion of the course where the students have time operating an all-wheel drive all terrain scissor lift and an all-terrain self-propelled boom lift. Students are required to wear fall protection when using the equipment so must have a fall protection course as a prerequisite.
